Products & Pricing
Products are reusable catalog items. The current beta includes a 3D-print cost calculator and archive/restore controls.
Create a product
Each product can have a SKU, name, description, standard price, and active/archived status. The standard price is the normal selling price before customer-specific pricing or a transaction override.
3D-print costing calculator
The calculator currently accepts:
- Material and color
- Grams used
- Spool weight and spool cost
- Print hours
- Machine rate per hour
- Hardware cost
- Packaging cost
- Labor cost
- Markup multiplier
It calculates material cost and estimated total cost. Suggested retail is the total cost multiplied by the markup, then rounded to the nearest $0.05. Use Use … as Standard Price to copy that suggestion into the product price.
Default machine rate
New product costing starts with the default machine rate from Business Settings. You can change the rate on an individual product.
Search and sort
Search products by name, SKU, description, material, color, or price. Filter by Active, Archived, or All. Sort by name, SKU, price, newest added, or oldest added.
Archive, restore, and permanently delete
Archiving removes a product from normal new-sale choices but preserves historical invoice/receipt snapshots and reports. Restore makes it available again. Permanent deletion is only allowed when the product has never been used on an invoice or receipt.
