Customers

Customer records hold contact details, discounts, customer-specific product pricing, and transaction history.

Add or edit a customer

Use Add Customer to create a record. Available fields include contact name, business name, email, phone, mailing address, shipping address, shipping phone, resale certificate, tax-exempt status, notes, and default customer discount.

Default discount: This percentage is applied to standard product prices unless a customer-specific price or transaction-specific manual price overrides it.

Find and sort customers

Search by name, business, email, or phone. Filter the list to Active, Archived, or All customers. Sort by name, business name, newest added, or oldest added.

Customer pricing order

  1. Customer-specific product price, if one exists.
  2. Customer default discount applied to the standard catalog price.
  3. Standard catalog price.

A manual price entered on an invoice or receipt overrides those automatic prices for that transaction only.

Archive, restore, and permanently delete

Archive hides a customer from normal new transactions but preserves invoices, receipts, payments, reports, and history. Archived customers can be restored.

Permanently Delete is only for unused customer records. The app refuses permanent deletion if the customer has invoice, receipt, or payment history.
